You’re staring in the mirror again. Trying to make both eyebrows match. Filling in gaps that never seem to look right. Wondering if they’ll smudge before your meeting or night out.
It’s exhausting. And it’s time you’ll never get back.
Microblading gives you eyebrows that look natural from the moment you wake up. No daily routine. No products. No wondering if they’re still in place after the gym or a long day. The results last 12 to 18 months, and the difference shows up immediately—defined shape, filled gaps, a subtle arch that frames your face the way it should.
You’re not changing who you are. You’re just done wasting time on something that should already work.
We’re located in Wake Forest and serve clients throughout Wake County, including Angier, NC. Our founder and licensed esthetician, Jacqueline Grace, has been named Best Aesthetician in Wake County three consecutive years and earned first and second place in the international Pigmentation Artist of the Year category at The Skin Games.
That’s not marketing talk. It’s recognition from people who know the craft.
Every microblading appointment starts with a complimentary consultation. You’ll talk through your concerns, your brow goals, and whether you’re even a good candidate. Not everyone is—and that honesty matters. We combine medical-grade standards with a personalized approach, backed by one of the most respected medical directors in the Triangle.
First, you’ll come in for a free consultation. This isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a real conversation about your brows, your skin, your health history, and what you’re hoping to achieve. Some people aren’t good candidates—if you’re on blood thinners, diabetic, or have certain health conditions, microblading might not be safe for you. You’ll know before you commit to anything.
If you move forward, the actual microblading appointment takes about two hours. Jacqueline maps out your brow shape based on your bone structure and facial symmetry. Then she uses a manual tool to create hair-like strokes with pigment that sits just under the skin’s surface. It’s not painful for most people, and numbing cream is applied throughout.
You’ll leave with brows that look natural right away. There’s a healing period of about 7-10 days where the color settles. A complimentary touch-up appointment is included 6-8 weeks later to perfect the shape and fill in any areas that didn’t retain pigment as expected. After that, your brows stay put for 12-18 months.

Microblading isn’t one-size-fits-all. Depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and the look you want, there are other options worth considering.
Nano brows use a machine instead of a manual blade to create ultra-fine, hair-like strokes. They tend to last longer and work better for oily skin types that don’t hold traditional microblading as well. Powder brows create a soft, filled-in look—like you lightly applied brow powder. It’s subtle, natural, and ideal if you want definition without individual strokes.
We specialize in all three techniques. The consultation helps determine which method fits your skin, your brows, and your goals. Whether you need to fill in over-plucked areas, extend the tail of your brow, cover gaps, or fully reconstruct sparse brows, there’s a technique that works.
Clients from Angier and surrounding areas like Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, and Clayton come to us because the results look real. Not overdone. Not obvious. Just better brows that don’t require daily maintenance.
Microblading typically lasts 12 to 18 months. That timeline depends on your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you follow aftercare instructions.
Oily skin tends to break down pigment faster than dry skin. Sun exposure, skincare products with retinol or acids, and frequent exfoliation can also shorten how long the results last. You’ll notice the strokes gradually fading over time—not disappearing overnight.
A complimentary touch-up is included 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. This isn’t optional. It’s part of the process to make sure the shape is right and the pigment has settled evenly. After that, most people come back for a refresh every 12-18 months to keep their brows looking sharp.
Most people describe microblading as uncomfortable, not painful. It feels like light scratching. Numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure, which helps significantly.
Right after your appointment, your brows will look darker and more defined than the final result. That’s normal. Over the next 7-10 days, they’ll scab lightly and the color will soften by about 30-40%. Don’t pick at the scabs. Don’t get them wet for the first few days. Avoid sweating, swimming, or applying makeup directly on the area.
The healing process is straightforward if you follow the aftercare instructions. By week two, the color settles and you’ll see what your brows actually look like. The touch-up appointment at 6-8 weeks fine-tunes anything that didn’t heal perfectly.
Not everyone is. That’s why the consultation matters.
You’re not a good candidate if you’re on blood thinners, have had an organ transplant, are diabetic with poor wound healing, or are pregnant or nursing. Certain skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis near the brow area can also affect results. If you have very oily skin, nano brows or powder brows might work better than traditional microblading.
Allergies to pigment are rare but possible. A patch test can be done if you have concerns. If you’ve had Botox recently, you’ll need to wait at least two weeks before microblading. If you’re planning Botox, wait until after your brows have healed.
The consultation at Wake Skincare covers all of this. You’ll get honest answers about whether microblading is right for you—or if another technique makes more sense.
Microblading uses a manual blade to create individual hair-like strokes. It’s the most natural-looking option and works well for people with normal to dry skin who want to add definition or fill in sparse areas.
Nano brows use a machine to create even finer strokes than microblading. The results last longer and hold up better on oily skin. It’s becoming more popular because the precision is higher and the healing process is often smoother.
Powder brows create a soft, shaded look using a machine. Think of it like a light brow powder application that never washes off. It’s great for people who want fuller brows without visible strokes, or for those with very oily skin where hair strokes don’t hold well.
All three techniques can look natural when done correctly. The right choice depends on your skin type, the current state of your brows, and the look you’re going for. That’s what the consultation figures out.
Microblading at Wake Skincare includes the initial appointment, a complimentary touch-up 6-8 weeks later, and a free consultation before you commit to anything.
Pricing varies depending on the technique and the complexity of the work, but you’re looking at a service that lasts 12-18 months. When you break that down, it’s less than you’d spend on brow pencils, gels, and the time you’re currently spending every morning.
The consultation is where you’ll get exact pricing based on what your brows need. There’s no pressure to book. It’s a conversation about whether microblading makes sense for you, what the process looks like, and what realistic results you can expect.
You’re not paying for the cheapest option. You’re paying for someone who’s been recognized nationally for this exact skill, who uses medical-grade standards, and who’s not going to give you brows that look fake or overdone.
Because you’ve probably seen bad microblading before. Brows that look drawn on. Too dark. Too thick. Unnatural.
We specialize in creating brows that look like yours—just better. Jacqueline’s technique focuses on light, airy strokes that mimic real hair. She’s been trained by some of the best permanent makeup artists in Raleigh and has competed internationally, earning top placements for pigmentation work.
Our clinic is backed by a respected medical director, uses medical-grade tools and pigments, and follows strict safety protocols. Every appointment is one-on-one. You’re not rushed. You’re not just another face in a chair.
Clients drive from Angier, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Clayton, and throughout Wake County because the results are worth it. You’ll walk out with brows that save you time every single day and actually look like they belong on your face.
