Your first session starts with a free consultation and skin evaluation. We’ll discuss your brow goals, examine your natural brow shape, and map out a design using golden ratio calculations tailored to your facial structure.
Once you approve the shape, we apply a topical numbing cream. Most clients rate discomfort around a two or three on a ten-point scale—manageable and brief.
The microblading process involves using a specialized tool to create fine, hair-like strokes in the brow area, depositing cosmetic-grade pigment into the skin. Each stroke is placed individually to mimic natural hair growth. The entire first session takes about three hours.
Your brows will appear darker initially due to scabbing as the skin heals. That’s normal. Over the next few weeks, the pigment lightens by 30 to 50 percent and the size reduces by about 20 to 30 percent. What you’re left with is the true result—natural-looking brows that blend seamlessly with your existing hair.

We use FDA-approved pigments that are cosmetic grade, sterilized, and purified. Safety standards here are medical-grade. Tools are single-use or fully sterilized between clients.
You’ll also receive aftercare instructions and support during the healing process. We’re available to answer questions as your brows heal and settle into their final appearance.
For clients in Kenly and throughout Wake County, we offer services that go beyond basic microblading. Nano brows and powder brows are also available depending on your skin type and desired look. Nano brows use an even finer technique for ultra-natural results, while powder brows create a soft, filled-in effect similar to makeup.
North Carolina’s climate—hot, humid summers and fluctuating temperatures—can affect how pigment settles and fades. We account for that in our technique and pigment selection, ensuring your results hold up in local conditions.
Microblading typically lasts between 12 and 18 months before you’ll want a touch-up, though some clients go up to three years depending on skin type and lifestyle. Oily skin tends to break down pigment faster than dry or normal skin.
Factors like sun exposure, skincare products, and how often you exfoliate also play a role. If you use retinoids or chemical exfoliants regularly, your brows may fade sooner.
Most clients schedule a touch-up around the one-year mark to keep their brows looking fresh. The touch-up is quicker than the initial session and helps maintain the shape and color you want.
Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain. We apply a topical numbing cream before starting, which significantly reduces any sensation.
On a scale of one to ten, most people rate it between a two and a three. You’ll feel some pressure and a scratching sensation as the tool creates each stroke, but it’s not sharp or unbearable.
The numbing cream takes about 20 minutes to fully activate, and we can reapply it during the session if needed. If you have a low pain tolerance, let us know during your consultation so we can plan accordingly.
Microblading uses a manual handheld tool to create individual hair-like strokes. It’s ideal if you want a natural, feathered look and have normal to dry skin.
Nano brows use a digital machine with an ultra-fine needle to create even more precise hair strokes. This technique works well for all skin types, including oily skin, because the strokes are finer and the pigment is deposited more evenly.
Powder brows create a soft, shaded effect that looks like you filled in your brows with makeup. This method is best for clients who want fuller coverage or have very oily skin where hair strokes might blur over time. We’ll recommend the best option during your consultation based on your skin type and goals.

Over the next week, your brows will scab and flake as the skin heals. Don’t pick at the scabs—let them fall off naturally. This is when the pigment lightens and the true color starts to show.
By week two, the color will have faded by about 30 to 50 percent, and the size will reduce by roughly 20 to 30 percent. This is normal and expected. By week four, your brows will have settled into their final appearance. We’ll schedule a follow-up to assess the results and make any necessary adjustments.
Sensitive skin doesn’t automatically disqualify you from microblading, but it does require extra care and consideration. During your free consultation, we’ll evaluate your skin type, discuss any allergies, and review your skincare routine.
We use FDA-approved, hypoallergenic pigments that are tested for safety. If you have known allergies to specific ingredients, let us know so we can confirm compatibility.
Certain skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or active acne in the brow area may require you to wait until your skin is clear. We’ll give you honest guidance on whether microblading is right for you or if another brow enhancement option would work better.
