You’ve tried the drugstore serums. You’ve watched the YouTube tutorials. But your skin still isn’t where you want it to be.
That’s because surface-level products can’t reach the layers where real change happens. A professional facial spa treatment uses medical-grade technology to penetrate deeper, target specific concerns, and trigger actual cellular response.
When you book a HydraFacial or microneedling session, you’re not just getting a relaxing hour in a chair. You’re addressing hyperpigmentation that’s been sitting under your skin for years. You’re smoothing acne scars that over-the-counter creams can’t touch. You’re reversing sun damage that happened long before you started caring about SPF.
The difference shows up in photos. In mirrors. In how your makeup sits. And it happens fast—most people see visible improvement the same day.
We opened in Wake Forest in 2020, right before the world shut down. While other businesses struggled, we grew—because people in Wake County were tired of generic facials that didn’t do anything.
Our founder, Jacqueline Grace, earned HydraFacial Master Certification, placing her among the top 100 practitioners worldwide. She’s been named Best Esthetician in Wake County three years running and took first place internationally in the Pigmentation Artist of the Year category.
We serve Red Oak and the surrounding Wake County area with the same approach: one-on-one consultations, medical-grade equipment, and treatments customized to what your skin actually needs. Not what works for someone else. Not what’s trending on social media. What works for you.
First, you come in for a free skin evaluation. No pressure, no sales pitch. Just a licensed esthetician looking at your skin under proper lighting and asking questions about what’s bothering you.
From there, we build a treatment plan. Maybe it’s a single HydraFacial before your wedding. Maybe it’s a series of microneedling sessions to fade acne scars. Maybe it’s a combination approach using IPL for sun damage and dermaplaning for texture.
During the treatment itself, you’re not left guessing what’s happening. We explain each step, what it does, and why it matters for your specific skin type. Most treatments take 30 to 60 minutes. There’s no significant downtime for most services—you can go straight back to work or errands.
After your session, you’ll see immediate improvement. Your skin looks clearer, smoother, more hydrated. And we send you home with a plan for maintaining results, not a bag full of products you don’t need.

Every facial spa appointment at Wake Skincare starts with a personalized consultation. That’s included, not an upsell.
Our most popular treatment is the HydraFacial—a medical-grade facial that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, and hydrates using patented vortex technology. It’s effective for acne, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and dull skin. You see results immediately, and there’s zero downtime.
We also offer SkinPen microneedling for deeper concerns like scarring and wrinkles, IPL photofacials for sun damage and redness, chemical peels for resurfacing, and dermaplaning for texture. If you’re looking for brow threading or facial threading, we handle that too—precise, clean, and way less painful than waxing.
Red Oak residents don’t have to drive all the way into Raleigh or Durham for quality skincare. We’re located in Wake Forest, just a short drive up Highway 401, and we work with clients from across southern Wake County. You’re not getting a cookie-cutter facial from someone who just finished a weekend certification course. You’re getting medical-grade care from a HydraFacial Master and award-winning esthetician who’s been doing this for years.
A regular facial usually involves manual extraction, steam, and topical products that sit on your skin’s surface. It feels nice, but the results are temporary and mostly cosmetic.
A HydraFacial uses medical-grade technology to deeply cleanse and hydrate at the dermal level. The patented vortex suction removes impurities without manual squeezing, which means less irritation and better results. It also infuses serums that are customized to your skin’s needs—antioxidants, peptides, hyaluronic acid—using a delivery system that actually penetrates.
The difference is in what happens after. With a regular facial, your skin might look nice for a day or two. With a HydraFacial, you see lasting improvement in texture, tone, and hydration because you’ve treated the underlying issues, not just the surface.
For treatments like HydraFacial, dermaplaning, and chemical peels, you’ll see a difference immediately. Your skin looks brighter, smoother, and more hydrated as soon as you leave.
For deeper treatments like microneedling or IPL, the timeline is longer because you’re triggering collagen production and cellular turnover. You might see some improvement within a week, but the real results show up over the next four to six weeks as your skin rebuilds itself from the inside out.
Most people book a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart for progressive improvement. But even after one session, you’ll notice your skin looks and feels better than it did before.
It depends on the treatment. HydraFacials, dermaplaning, and threading have zero downtime. You can go straight back to your day—work, errands, even a dinner out that night.
Chemical peels and microneedling involve a little more recovery. With a peel, you might experience light flaking for a few days. With microneedling, your skin will be red for 24 to 48 hours, similar to a mild sunburn. But you’re not bedridden or hiding indoors.
We walk you through aftercare for every treatment so you know exactly what to expect. If you’ve got an event coming up, we’ll recommend the right timing so you look your best when it matters.
That depends on what you’re trying to fix. If you’ve got an event next week and you just want your skin to look fresh and glowing, one HydraFacial will do the job.
If you’re dealing with acne scars, deep wrinkles, or significant sun damage, you’ll need a series. These concerns didn’t develop overnight, and they won’t disappear in one session. Most treatment plans involve three to six appointments spaced a few weeks apart.
During your free consultation, we’ll give you an honest assessment. If one session is enough, we’ll tell you. If you need more, we’ll explain why and map out a realistic timeline. No one’s pressuring you to buy a package you don’t need.
Yes. A lot of people book both services together, especially before an event or special occasion. Threading is quick—usually 10 to 15 minutes—and it pairs well with most facial treatments.
We typically recommend doing threading before your facial so we can address any redness or sensitivity during the treatment. If you’re getting a deeper service like a chemical peel or microneedling, we might suggest scheduling threading on a different day to avoid irritation.
Just let us know when you book so we can plan your appointment accordingly. We’ll make sure everything flows smoothly and you’re not sitting in the chair longer than necessary.
Show up with a clean face if possible, but if you’re coming straight from work or the gym, don’t stress it. We’ll cleanse your skin as part of the treatment.
Avoid any harsh exfoliants, retinoids, or active ingredients for 48 hours before your appointment. If you’re getting a chemical peel or microneedling, we’ll give you more specific prep instructions when you book.
Bring a list of any skincare products you’re currently using and any medications you’re on, especially if they affect your skin. The more we know, the better we can customize your treatment. And if you’ve got questions, write them down and bring them with you. This is your consultation—use it.
