Stop using any isotretinoin products (like Accutane) for 6 months before your treatment, unless cleared by our medical director or your personal doctor.
Discontinue topical Retin-A or generic tretinoin at least 48 hours before your treatment.
Avoid any exfoliating treatments, including scrubs, glycolic acid, and enzyme peels, for 48 hours before your HydraFacial.
Do not wax the treatment area for 48 hours prior to your appointment.
Steer clear of excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, spray tans, and self-tanning lotions for at least 1 week before your treatment.
Refrain from medium to deep chemical resurfacing and laser treatments for 2 weeks before your HydraFacial.
Schedule your HydraFacial at least 1 week after Botox injections and 2 weeks after fillers. If you need Botox or fillers on the same day, ensure they are done after your HydraFacial.
For men, avoid shaving on the day of treatment. If you must shave, do so at least 3-4 hours before your appointment.
Post-Care Instructions
Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning beds for 72 hours after your treatment.
Wash your face the morning after your HydraFacial.
Apply a recommended SPF of 30 or higher, whether tinted or non-tinted, for 3-5 days after your treatment.
Continue to avoid topical Retin-A or generic tretinoin for at least 48 hours post-treatment.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure for the next week.
Do not pick, scratch, wax, thread, or tweeze the treated area for at least 3-5 days.
Avoid heat, including hot showers, intense cardio, and saunas, for 24 hours after your treatment.
If possible, avoid applying makeup for the rest of the day.
Refrain from using harsh exfoliating treatments and lasers for 48 hours post-treatment.
